Cambridge Street Pastors

  • Friday and Saturday nights in Cambridge can be quite a buzz, with many pubs and clubs stay open into the small hours with at times thousands of people enjoying the party atmosphere.

Drawn from local Christian churches, Street Pastor volunteers patrol the streets in the centre of Cambridge from 10pm to 4am each Friday and Saturday night to help any in difficulty without judgement or discrimination.

Well trained and fully equipped, the Street Pastors aim to provide a listening ear, practical help and Christian concern for all people, whether upset or sick or just needing someone to talk to.

Cambridge Churches Housing Project (CCHP)

  • Now in our 6th season, eleven churches and one synagogue will offer a home for homeless people from Advent to Easter with St Bene’t’s and Trumpington congregations providing teams to staff an evening.

Each venue hosts on one night of the week to offer a warm friendly welcome, a delicious cooked meal and a bed for the night. CCHP uniquely provides hospitality and a listening ear to those who would otherwise be sleeping rough in the city.
